Matching Manicure : Halloween Castle and Backyard

Matching Manicures nedelja me je podsetila da je Noć Veštica veoma blizu, tako da sam odlučila da vam u narednih nekoliko dana dam ideje kakve nokte možete imate te noći. Veoma mi je žao što se ovaj praznik ne slavi kod nas, pogotovo zato što mi se jako dopada ideja maskiranja. Srećom, ove godine Noć Veštica ću provesti u Transilvaniji, i iskreno se nadam da ću napokon doživeti taj duh Noći Veštica. 

Za moj manikir danas, odlučila sam se za klasiku kada je u pitanju Noć Veštica : bundeve, paukovu mrežu i pauka, slepe miševe, i jedan užasan dvorac. Korstila sam moj omiljeni lak za ovaj praznik, Essence - Bad Girl, Miyo - Black i BM-222 za pečate bundeva, akrilne boje i crnu akvarel bojicu. 

Matching Manicures Sunday reminded me that Halloween is really close, so I decided to give you, in the next couple of days few ideas for your perfect Halloween nail art that you can wear that night. We don't celebrate this holiday here in Serbia, but I really like whole idea about Halloween and especially masking in costumes. Luckily, this year for Halloween I will be in Transylvania, and I hope that I will finally experience true spirit of Halloween. 

For my manicure today, I decided to go with all things that are related for Halloween : pumpkins, spider web and spider, bats, and one horrible castle. I used my favourite polish that I always use for this holiday, Essence - Bad Girl, Miyo - Black and BM-222 for stamping pumpkins, acrylic paints and black aquarelle paint.

Born Pretty Holographic Hologram Effect #12

Prošlog meseca, kada sam vam pokazala divan zeleni hologramski lak, Depend #2035, rekla sam vam kako mi se mnogo dopada i da sam u potrazi za malo tamnije zelenim hologramskim lakom. Tada je Inky Whisker sa bloga Inky Whisker's Musings predložila da probam ovaj lak iz Born Pretty Store Hologram kolekcije. 

Lak nosi oznaku #12, i poslednji je u nizu holo lakova koje je Born Pretty Store izbacio u ovoj kolekciji. Prvo što sam primetila je bočica koja je jako mala, čak iako sam znala da ima samo 6ml, nisam imala predstavu da će biti ovolicna. Pogledajte je samo kako stoji u mojoj ruci, a ja imam jako male ruke. I naravno, opet mi se desilo da mi je "pokvarena" bočica došla u ruke, a ovog puta je to poklopac koji ne može da se zatvori do kraja nakon što je prvi put otvoren.

Last month, when I showed you gorgeous green holographic polish Depend #2035, I told you how I like it but I was in search for some darker green holographic polish. And then Inky Whisker from Inky Whisker's Musings blog suggested me to try out this polish from Born Pretty Store Hologram collection. Polish has a name, #12, and it is last in a row of holo polishes that Born Pretty Store made in this collection.

First thing I noticed was that bottle is really small, and even I knew that it only has 6ml, I had no idea it would be so tiny. Take a look how it looks in my hand, and I have really small hands. And again, I got a "polish with mistake" in my hands, this time it is a hand of the brush that can't be closed since I opened it for the first time. 

Lak je predivan. Nisam očekivala da će tako dobro prekrivati, pogotovo nakon iskustva sa China Glaze OMG kolekcijom ali trebalo je samo tri tanka sloja laka da nokti budu prekriveni. Boja je prelepa, negde između tamno zelene i crne, uz neverovatni linearni holo efekat. 

This nail polish is amazing. I didn't expect it to cover nails so good, especially after experience that I had with China Glaze OMG collection but it only took three thin coats for full opacity. Color is really beautiful, somewhere between dark green and black, with amazing linear holo effect.

Hello everyone! I'm so exited to have this guest post! :) 

So today I have for you a design I created with striping tape, over the gorgeous Golden Rose Jolly Jewels 110. I actually got this polish from Marijana in a swap we both participated in, and it seemed appropriate to review this beauty here :) I used 2 coats here, and I'm very happy with the result. The only problem with this polish is the removal - It takes forever!! I think in this case it would be a good idea to use aluminium foil in the removal :) 

In order to make things a but more interesting, I added with a striping tape this black polish triangle. And on top of that - another red shimmer triangle (to go with the glitter! :) with China Glaze - Cranberry Splash!

Where is that Silver Shimmer?

Black Velour je moj prvi Pure Ice lak za nokte koji sam dobila iz Amerike od Felicie. Kada sam pogledala u bočicu, bila sam skoro sigurna da je u pitanju metalik tamno sivi lak. Ne moram vam ni reći koliko sam se iznenadila kada se prvi sloj laka osušio a na mojim noktima ostala mat crna nijansa. Ne kažem da mi se nije svidela, ali su mi nedostajale one sitne srebrnkaste šljokice koje se mogu videti u bočici. Pala mi je na pamet ideja da ga premažem bezbojnim lakom za nokte, i pogodite šta se pojavilo? Srebrni shimmer :).

Black Velour is my first Pure Ice nail polish that I got from USA from Felicia. When I looked into the bottle, I was almost sure that it is metallic dark grey nail polish. I don't have to tell you how much I was surprised when the first coat of polish was dry, and all that was left on my nails was black matte shade. I don't say I don't like it, I just missed those tiny silver glitter that you can see in the bottle. It crossed my mind that I could apply clear nail polish over it, and guess what showed up? Silver shimmer :).

Recipe for Amazing Nail Art

Šta ispadne kada pomešate sjajno i mat, onda dodate malo neonskih boja i na to dodate malo malo duohrom efekta? Verujte mi, ovaj recept je sjajan. Možda sam trebala dodati još neki hologramski detalj da sve to začinim još malo ali i ovako izgleda divno. 

Koristila sam : Essence - Romeo, Black acrylic paint, Ebalay A08, Flormar N002, Flormar N008, Flormar N014, Rapsodi #191 i Isabelle Dupont #282. 

What do you get when you mix shiny and matte, and then add a little bit of neon colors and on top of it you add some duochrome effect? Trust me, this recipe is grate. Maybe I could add some holographic details to spice it all a little bit more, but it definitely looks amazing this way. 

I used : Essence - Romeo, Black acrylic paint, Ebalay A08, Flormar N002, Flormar N008, Flormar N014, Rapsodi #191 and Isabelle Dupont #282.

Jacob's Protection with Holo Stamping

Kada se pojavila Essence Twilight Breaking Down II kolekcija, kupila sam ih sve, a do sada sam isprobala samo onaj zlatni (koji mi se inače najmanje svideo pre nego što sam ih kupila) i to samo za neke zlatne detalje kod crtanja ili eventualno za pečatiranje. U zadnje vreme, više koristim svetle lakove, što je za mene čudno, ali danas sam odlučila da pređem na tamnu stranu i isprobam Essence - Jacob's Protection. Oduševio me je sa svojom dubinom, tamnom skoro crnom bazom i tonom plavog shimmera. Pošto sam u tom momentu uhvatila i mali zrak sunca koji se probio kroz tamne oblake, pečatiranje noktiju mi je prvo palo na pamet (zbog brzine) uz holo lak Catherine Arley #801 i pločicu BM-212.

When Essence Twilight Breaking Down II collection showed up in stores, I bought them all, and until today I only tried out gold one (which I didn't like at all before I bought it) and only used it for some gold details on drawings or for stamping. Lately, I prefer to use lighter polishes, which is odd for me, but today I went again on a dark side and tried out Essence - Jacob's Protection. It is so deep, with dark, almost black base and tone tonnes of blue shimmer. And then I saw that small sunshine rain between dark clouds, I thought about stamping nails (because I can do it fast) with holo nail polish Catherine Arley #801 and plate BM-212.

Izgleda mi kao neka svetlucava čipka. Da li vam se dopada? Jeste li gledale Twilight filmove?

Sometimes, it happens...

Greška na noktima. Priznajem, prošlo je poprilično vremena od kada mi se to desilo :). Nekima od vas će se možda i svideti, ko zna. Uglavnom, ovo ispadne kada nemate konkretnu ideju nego samo lakirate nokte. Nalakirala sam moje sa holo crvenim lakom Catherine Arley #800, i ispečatirala ih sa crnim Miyo - Black i pločicom BM - 204. Sve bi se zaustavilo tu i možda bi mi se i dopalo da sam uspela da ispečatiram nokte ravno. Ali budući da su moji nokti malo zakrivljeni, ovo je bila nemoguća misija. Umesto da sve obrišem i krenem ispočetka sa nečim novim, napravila sam french manikir sa mat crnim lakom theBalm - I Take my Coffee Matte and Black koji je izgledao manje mat nego što je ovaj Miyo - Black (koji ni nije mat uopšte). I na kraju, crvene šljokice u providnoj bazi, Aura - Soul Shade. Ne znam šta mi je sve ovo trebalo :).

Nail fail. I admit, it has been I while since that happened :). Some of you may even like it, who knows. Anyway, this is what you get when you don't have any idea, when you just paint your nails. I painted mine with holo red nail polish Catherine Arley #800, and stamped them with black nail polish Miyo - Black and plate BM - 204. I would stopped it here and maybe I would like it if I could stamp my nails straight. But, since my nails are a little bit curved, that was mission impossible. And instead I removed all of it and start over with something new, I made a french mani with matte nail polish theBalm - I Take my Coffee Matte and Black that looks less matte than Miyo - Black is (this one isn't matte at all). And in the end, red glitter in a clear base, Aura - Soul Shade. I don't know why I needed that :).

Pink Snickers

Ne pamtim kada sam bila ovako umorna, posle celog vikenda u Budimpesti (sutra cu vam pokazati moj mali haul), razbolela sam se, i jako mi se spava… Tako da ce ovo biti jedan jako kratak post.

I can’t remember when I was so tired, after weekend in Budapest (I’ll show you tomorrow my small haul), I’m sick, and very sleepy… So this is going to be really short post.

101 Dalmatians

Ustvari, samo je jedan. I mnogo tufnica. Priznajmo, trebalo bi mi bar 21 ruka da nacrtam svih 101. Ali ovaj jedan je ispao lepo. Kao pre dva dana sa zebricom, ni sa dalmatincima ne mozete pogresiti. Tufnice su im nejednake, na raznim mestima, samo je bitno da su crne. Sa sapicama vec mozete. Tu sam i ja napravila gresku koju je bilo kasno ispraviti. Naime, nacrtala sam 6 sapica, ne razmisljajuci da broj mora biti deljiv sa 4 jer toliko jedno kuce ima nogu. Prvo ih je i bilo 4, a onda sam mislila kako imam previse praznog mesta na noktu, pa dodala jos dve. Ali ko mari. Bitno je da je samo kuce uspelo.
Inace, obozavam dalmatince, i ovo je jedan od mojih omiljenih crtanih filmova (zajedno sa svim ostalim Diznijevim). 


Actually, it’s only one. And lots of spots. Let’s face it, I would need at least 21 hands to draw all 101. But this one is nice. Like two days ago with baby zebra, you can’t make a mistake with Dalmatians. Their spots are uneven, on different places, and only important thing is they are black. On the other hand, with paws you can make a mistake. That’s where I made it and it was late to correct it. I drew 6 paws, wasn’t thinking that number must be dividable with 4 because that’s how many legs one puppy have. First there was 4, but then I thought I have lots of empty space on my nail, so I added two more. But who cares. It’s important that puppy was success.
By the way, I love Dalmatians, and this is also one of my favorite cartoons (with all others made by Walt Disney).

Zebra Nails

Ustvari i nisu zebrasti. Zelela sam da budu malo drugaciji od onih koji se mogu videti svugde, ali kod ovoga se ne moze pogresiti. Svaka zebra ima drugacije sare, barem tako sam ja cula. Nego, htela sam da dodam jos nesto sto ce je izdvojiti iz mase zebrastih noktiju…pravu zebru. Mislim, ne pravu pravu, vec nacrtanu pravu :). Ili bar njenu glavu. U mojoj glavi izgledala je odlicno, na papiru onako, a na noktu…moram priznati da lici vise na magare nego na zebru :D. Ili mozda na neku bebu zebricu. Slatka mi je, sta god predstavljala…


It’s not actually zebra. I wanted to make something different from others that you can see everywhere, but you can’t make mistakes with this one. Every zebra has different lines, or at least that’s what I heard. Anyway, I wanted to add something else that will make it different from other zebra nail arts… real zebra. I mean, not real – real, but drawn real :). Or at least her head. In my head she looked great, on paper good, and on my nails… I must admit it looks more like donkey then like zebra :D. Or maybe some baby zebra. I think she’s cute, whatever she is…
