Matching Manicure–Butterflies

Današnja tema za Matching Manicures su leptiri. Već duže vreme imam u planu da pokušam da napravim manikir sa neonskim leptirima koji je robin mouses napravila u ovom tutorijalu, tako da je ovo bila savršena prilika. Prateći njen tutorijal, stvarno je bilo lako nacrtati ove leptire. Nisam mogla da odolim, tako da i moji leptirići svetle u mraku.

Koristila sam Miyo - Black, Ebalay #003, Ebalay #002, Ebalay #006, Ebalay #009, FlorMar N002, Catherine Arley #709, Primark Beauty - Neon Yellow, Primark Beauty - Neon Pink i Essence - Flowerfields.

Today theme for Matching Manicures is butterflies. For a while now I have in plans to try to make manicure with neon butterflies that Robin Mouses made in this tutorial, so this was a perfect opportunity. Following her steps, it was really easy to draw this. I couldn't resist, so my butterflies also glow in the dark.

I used Miyo - Black, Ebalay #003, Ebalay #002, Ebalay #006, Ebalay #009, FlorMar N002, Catherine Arley #709, Primark Beauty - Neon Yellow, Primark Beauty - Neon Pink and Essence - Flowerfields.

Hearts in the Dark

Lakovi koji svetle u mraku se nešto što morate imate za vaš manikir za Noć Veštica. Mada ne samo tada, jer oni umeju da budu korisni i u svakodnevnim situacijama ( :D ko je razumeo, razumeo je; ko nije, razumeće). Moje druženje sa lakovima koji svetle u mraku je počelo prošle godine, a od tada se njihov broj u mojoj kolekciji konstantno povećava. Najnoviji od njih je BK #06 koji sam dobila od divne Xana za rođendan.

BK #06 je plavi jelly lak koji svetli zeleno u mraku, i mada na noktima izgleda kao da nije osušen (uvek tako izgleda), jeste. Lak je malo vodenaste formule, pa predlažem da ga lakirate preko belog laka za nokte. Ja sam ga lakirala bez podloge, i nanela sam 6 slojeva laka, a još uvek možete videti liniju nokta.

Glow in the dark nail polishes are something that you must have for your Halloween manicure. Although, not just then, because they can be useful in some everyday activities ( :D who understood, understood; who didn’t, you will). I first tried glow in the dark nail polishes last year, and since then, their number in my stash is constantly growing. Newest is BK #06 which I got from lovely Xana for my birthday.

BK #06 is a blue jelly nail polish that glows green in the dark, and although it looks on nails like it’s not dried (it always looks like that), it is. Formula is kind of watery, so I suggest applying it over white base. I painted it without any base, and applied 6 coats of polish, but you can still see visible nail line. 

Da učinim ovo malo interesantnijim, nacrtala sam nekoliko srca belom akrilnom bojom. Ono što me je iznenadilo je sledeće : na svetlu, ovaj lak je plave boje a srca su bela; na prigušenom svetlu, lak svetli u mraku i zelene je boje, dok su srca šarena (pretpostavljam da je u pitanju neko prelivanje svetlosti preko bele boje, ali mi i dalje nije potpuno jasno); dok je u mraku onako kako sam i planirala da bude, lak svetli zeleno, a srca su crna.

To make this a little bit more interesting, I drew some hearts with white acrylic paints. And this is what surprised me : on light, this polish is blue, and hearts are white; on low light, polish glows green but hearts are rainbow colored (I suppose there is something about refexion of light over white color, but I still don’t really understand that); while in the dark is like I planned it to be, polish glows green and hearts are black.

Ghost Town

Znate li onu priču da noću kada sva deca spavaju, igračke se bude i igraju po sobi? A šta mislite šta se dešava za Noć Veštica kada ceo grad spava? U mojoj mašti, tada na scenu stupaju svetleći duhovi koji obleću oko grada i govore “buahahaha” :D.

Ideja je bila dobra ali vi odlučite koliko je dobro realizovana. Nacrtala sam na noktima zgrade jednog grada (koje naravno svetle u mraku) i duha koji lebdi nad njima. Trebam li da napomenem da i on svetli? Na svetlu, ovaj manikir izgleda kao da sam nalakirala crni crackle lak preko zelenog laka, međutim kada se ugasi svetlo, lako je prepoznati zgrade. Možda bi bilo još lakše da sam pravila malo deblje zelene linije, ali uključite maštu i pogledajte kako to izgleda.

Koristila sam Ebalay Grass Green Glow (009) i akrilne boje.

Have you heard of story in which when all children are sleeping, toys wake up and dance around the room? And what do you think that happens on Halloween when city sleeps? In my imagination, glowing ghosts use that time to fly around the town and scream“bwahahahaha” :D.

Idea was great but you decided is it good in reality. I drew on my nails buildings (which of course glow in the dark) and ghost that fly over them. Do I need to tell you that ghost is glowing too? On light, this mani looks like I painted black crackle polish over green polish, but when lights go down, it is easy to recognize buildings. Maybe it would be easier if I drew a little bit thicker green lines, but turn on your imagination, turn off light, and check out how this looks like.

I used .Ebalay Grass Green Glow (009)and acrylic paints.

The Halloween Challenge - Pumpkins

Jos jedan dan u izazovu za Noc Vestica :). Danasnja tema su Bundevice. Da, nisu teske ali sustina je u izrazu lica. Izrazi lica mojih bundevica nisu bas lepo ispali, ali kada ugasim svetlo, mnogo su lepsi :).

Pocela sam sa theBalm - Don't Metal in My Business  nacrtala bundevice i prekrila njihovu unutrasnjost Ebalay lakom koji svetli u mraku :).

Another day in Halloween Challenge :). Today we made Pumpkins. Yes, they are not hard but most important is face expression. Face expressions of my pumpkins didn't really turned out best, but they are prettier when I turn off the light :).

I started with theBalm - Don't Metal in my Business, drew pumpkins and painted their interior with Ebalay glow in the dark polish :).

Taking Pictures of Glow In the Dark nail polishes

Bilo da ste bloger, pa vam je potrebna lepa slika noktiju za svoj post, ili samo zelite da postavite sliku vasih noktiju na Facebook da se pohvalite svojim prijateljima, lakovi koji svetle u mraku su uvek problem. Prvi put kada sam pokusala da ih uslikam, to je potrajalo par dana posto nikako nisam mogla da napravim dobru sliku. A onda sam cackala silna podesavanja na fotoaparatu, isprobavala razlicita okruzenja i uspela. Posto je ovo doba godine kada se najvise nose ovi lakovi na noktima, podelicu sa vama kako da ovaj proces bude sto bezbolniji :).

Za pocetak, ne brinite, ja nemam nikakav poseban fotoaparat koji kosta citavo bogatstvo. Samo obican mali BenQ sa 12mp. Prvi korak nema potrebe da vam objasnjavam, jer glasi : nalakirajte nokte! Nista tesko, zar ne? :)

Either you are blogger and you need nice nail picture for your post, or you just want to share picture on your nails on Facebook to show your friends, glow in the dark polishes are always problem. First time I tried to take picture of them, it took a few days since I couldn't make good picture. And then I tried to use all those manual settings on my camera, tried different surroundings and succeeded. Since this is the time of the year when lot of us wear this kind of polishes on our nails, I will share with you how to make this process easier and quicker :).

For start, don't worry, I don't have any special camera that cost a fortune. Just a regular small BenQ with 12mp. And there is no need to explain step one, because it is : polish your nails! That isn't really hard, right? :) 

A onda je vreme da udjete unutra. Lakovi koji svetle u mraku rade tako sto se "napune" na svetlosti, a zatim se postepeno "prazne" u mraku. Osim ako planirate da ceo dan provedete na suncu, predlazem lakse resenje . Trebace vam obicna stona lampa (radi najlakse iako moze bilo koja lampa koju mozete da primaknete skroz do noktiju), i u njoj sijalica na kojoj pise Day Light (ima ih kod kineza).

Napravite potpuni mrak u sobi, i stavite nokte ispod sijalice na oko 5 minuta. Pobrinite se da vam fotoaparat bude pri ruci, jer je najbolje da uslikate cim ugasite lampu (tada ce nokti najvise da svetle). Ukoliko ste pratile dosadasnja uputstva, slike ce vam ispasti ovakve :

And then it's time to go inside. Polishes that glow in the dark work this way : they are "charging" on light, and then they gradually "empty" in the dark. If you don't plan to spend all day under the sun, I suggest easier solution. You will need desk lamp (it works easiest, but if you don't have it you can use any lamp that you can move around), and Day Light bulb in it.

Turn off everything in room, and place your nails under the lamp for about 5 minutes. Make sure that your camera is close, because best time for shooting is the minute when you turn off the lamp (nails will glow really bright in the beginning). If you followed instructions till now, your pictures will look like this : 

Izgleda poznato, zar ne? Ostalo je samo jos malo podesavanja fotoaparata (koliko sam gledala, svaki fotoaparat ima ove opcije).

*Blic podesite na "Force Off" 
*Mod slikanja podesite na "Night Scene" 
*Fokus (koji vam je obicno na Macro dok slikate nokte) stavite na Infinity 

Obuhvatiti bocicu laka rukom, stavite je na cvrstu podlogu i pritisnite dugme za slikanje. Da slika ne bi bila zamrljana, nikako ne pomerajte ruku dok vam aparat ne pokaze da je uslikao sliku (oko 30ak sekundi). Znam da to traje malo duze nego obicno fotografisanje, ali je jedini nacin (za koji ja znam). Lak ce u pocetku da svetli jako, a zatim sve slabije. Ako se umorite, upalite opet lampu i napunite jos malo svoje nokte, pa onda nastavite slikanje.

Looks familiar, right? There are just some manual camera settings left to do (I looked around, and it seems that every camera have these options).

*Flash need to be : "Force Off" 
*Shooting mode : "Night Scene" 
*Focus (usually, when you take pictures of your nails is Macro, but) set on : Infinity 

Take the bottle of nail polish in your hand, put your hand on a desk or something like that and press button to take picture. To avoid blurry pictures, don't move your hand (nails) until camera shows that it took picture (about 30 seconds). I know it is little bit longer than regular taking pictures, but it's the only way (that I know). Nail polish will glow brightly in the beginning and than it will start losing his glow. If you get tired, turn on the lamp again and recharge your nails before you continue taking pictures.

I feel Radioactive

Htela sam danas da nalakiram jos jedan od onih lakova sto menjaju moju u odnosu na raspolozenje, ali vec je padao mrak, pa ne bih imala vremena da ga uslikam u svim varijantama.  A sta je bolje od laka koji svetli u mraku za noc? Zato sam nalakirala nokte sa jos jednim lakom koji sam dobila iz kkcenterhk.com -  EBALAY Grass Green Translucent Glow Luminous Nail Polish (ili krace Ebalay - Glow - 009). Nalakirala sam tri sloja, i lak se nije hteo osusiti cak ni posle sat vremena. Pretpostavljam da bi se osusio, kada bi ispod njega bila podloga u boji, i samo jedan sloj ovog  laka. 

Na svetlu, nije nista poseban, ali je u mraku stvarno lep. Na kraju sam uspela da nesto i nacrtam preko njega, posto me je zanimao efekat koji cu dobiti, tj da li ce se lak preko njega isto svetleti (nece), ali je efekat veoma zanimljiv :). 

I wanted to try out today one more mood changing nail polish, but it was already late, so I wouldn't had time to take picture of it in a daylight of all versions. And what is better then glow in the dark nail polish for night? That's why I polished my nails with one more nails polish that I got from kkcenterhk.com - EBALAY Grass Green Translucent Glow Luminous Nail Polish (or shorter Ebalay - Glow - 009). I applied three coats, and polish didn't dried out completely even after an hour. I suppose it would be dry, if you apply coloured base coat, and then one coat of this polish.

On light, it is nothing special, but in the dark it is very nice. In the end, I managed even to draw something on it, since I wondered what effect will it cause, will nail polish on top of it glow too (it won't), but effect is really interesting :).

See me glowing?

Pre par nedelja, cula sam se opet sa Maggie iz kkcenterhk.com koja mi je ovog puta ponudila tri laka po mom izboru. Posto nemam ni jedan koji svetli u mraku, uzela sam plavi, zeleni i rozi. Naravno, posto su mi plavi lakovi omiljeni, morala sam taj prvi da isprobam. Lak se zove Ebalay Indigo Translucent Glow Luminous Nail Polish (dugacko ime kao kraljevsko :) ), ili krace Ebalay-Glow-002. Formula ovog laka je nekako cudna, nekako me podseca na zvake, isto kao i kod pojedinih neonskih lakova. Na njihovom sajtu, pise da je potrebno nalakirati lak ispod, ali ja sam zelela da znam kakav ce biti sam, pa sam nalakirala tri sloja preko providne baze. Prvo sto sam primetila je da se cini da je suv, ali u stvari mu je trebalo vise od sat vremena da se osusi skroz. 

Few weeks ago, I heard with Maggie from kkcenterhk.com who offered me three nail polishes by my choice. Since I don't have any nail polish that glows in the dark, I chose blue, green and pink. Of course, since blue polishes are my favourites, I had to try blue one first. Nail polish name is Ebalay Indigo Translucent Glow Luminous Nail Polish (long name, like it's royal :) ), or shorter Ebalay-Glow-002. Formula of this polish is somehow weird, it reminds me on gum, like it's with some of neon nail polishes. On their web site, they say that you need to put coloured base first, but I wanted to know how it will look like alone, so I applied three coats of it over clear base coat. First thing that I noticed was that it seems dry, but it's not, and it took more than an hour to be completely dry. 

A onda, nije hteo da svetli u mraku. Morala sam da pretrazujem na internetu, dok nisam pronasla informaciju da se prvo mora provesti neko vreme na svetlosti, pretpostavljam da bi je lak "upio". Posto danas nije bilo sunca, probala sam da ih drzim ispod sijalice par minuta, i pogledajte kako je fenomenalno ispalo :).

And then, it didn't glow in the dark. I had to search over internet, until I found information that you must spent some time on light, I guess because nail polish needs to "absorb" it. Since there were no Sun today, I tried to put my nails under the lamp for a few minutes, and look how awesome it turned out :).
