Kada imate poveću kolekciju lakova za nokte, ponekad niste ni sami sigurni koje lakove imate ni da li su neki od njih potpuno isti kao i neki drugi. Zato, a i da bi upotpunila sobu sa još boja, odlučila sam se da napravim Swatchstick-ove. Ako imate manju kolekciju lakova, uvek je isplativije da kupite gotove štapiće (kao što su ovi). Opet, razmišljajte unapred i probajte predvideti koliko će vaša kolekcija rastiti u toku nekog vremenskog perioda. Moja kolekcija sadrži preko 500 lakova, tako da sam se ja odlučila za jeftiniju varijantu i odlučila da ih napravim sama.
Prvo što će vam trebati ukoliko se odlučite za ovaj poduhvat su tipse za nokte. Ja sam moje poručila iz Born Pretty Store-a, 500 komada za oko 480 dinara.
When you have larger collection of nail polish, sometimes you are not even sure which polishes do you own or are some of them same as other. That's why, and also to add more colors in my room, I decided to make Swatchsticks. If you have small collection of nail polishes, it is cheaper for you to buy display swatchsticks (like these). Again, think in forward and try to predict how much will your collection grow during some time period. My stash has more than 500 nail polishes, so I decided for cheaper option and made homemade swatchsticks.
First thing that you will need if you want to do this project are nail tips. I ordered mine
from Born Pretty Store, 500 pieces for $5.63.
Zatim,... većina ljudi bi logično ovde upotrebila štapiće za sladoled. Ali pošto su u našoj zemlji svi monopolisti, štapiće za sladoled nisam uspela da nabavim. Zato sam opet pronašla jeftiniju zamenu, plastične kašičice za espresso kafu. U Metro-u, 1000 komada kašičica sam platila oko 400 dinara.
Then,... most of the people would use here ice cream sticks. But, since in my country everybody is monopolist, I couldn't find to buy ice cream sticks. That's why I found cheaper option, plastic spoons for espresso coffee. In a Metro store, I bought 1000 pieces for about $5.50.
Za imena lakova, trebaće vam samolepljivi papir. Ili to, ili da svaki poseban papirić lepite lepkom na kašičice. Moj savet je da odštampate tabelu sa spiskom lakova na samolepljivi papir, i samo ih isečete na širinu kašičica.
For names of polishes, you will need a self-adhesive paper. Either that, or to glue every single paper on a spoons. My advise is to print a table with list of polishes names on self-adhesive paper and then just cut them.
Takođe, trebaće vam i super-lepak ili nešto slično (silikon sam probala, ne radi). Tipse lepite na vrhove kašičica, i iako u početku izgleda teško, postane lakše kada se naviknete na poteze :D.
Also, you will need a super glue or something like this (I tried silicone, it doesn't work). You need to glue tips on the top of the spoons, and although in the begging it will look hard, it becomes easier when you use to do that moves :D.
Zatim samo zalepite nalepnice sa imenima lakova ispod tipse, i gotovi ste. Vreme je za šareniji i zabavniji deo :).
Then just place stickers with names of the polishes under the nail tips and you are done. It's time for more colorful and funnier part :).

Kao što sam već rekla, moja kolekcija sadrži preko 500 lakova za nokte, i trebaće mi vremena da sve ovo završim. Kada završim, spremite se da seriju postova sa komparacijama, pošto sam sigurna da ću pronaći mnogo sličnih ili istih lakova.

As I already said, there are over 500 polishes in my collection and I will need time to finish all of them. When I'm done, be prepared for a series of comparison posts, because I'm sure that I will find a lot of dupes in there.
