Bootie Babe swatches : Lime So Fine & Electric Lemon & Brink of Pink

Znam da je mnogo vas jedva cekalo ovo kao sto sam i ja. Nisam se zaustavila na jednom, vec sam morala da  tri laka da isprobam i obozavam ih. Sva tri laka su iz Neon kolekcije.

Prvi, zeleni neonski, sa naizgled veoma poznatom od ranije bojom. Cini mi se kao da sam videla vec mnogo ovakvih. U svakom slucaju, posto nisam od pocetka razmisljala samo sam nastavljala da mazem sloj po sloj, i tako do cetvrtog. A i dalje se vide vrhovi noktiju. Posle toliko slojeva, lak, kao da nije mogao nikako da se osusi, nego je postao gelast. Moja greska a recicu vam i zasto. Ipak, pogledajte prvo kako izgleda :)

I know many of you couldn't wait for this, and so am I. I didn't stopped on one, I had to try out three polishes and I love them. All three are from Neon Collection.

First, neon green, that seems kind a familiar. I think I saw many other brands has this kind of green. Anyway, since I didn't thought about it on time, I applied coat after coat, and did that until there were 4 coats. And you can still see tips. After all those coats, polish was kind a gelish and just couldn't dry at all. It's my mistake and I will tell you why. Just, take a look at picture first to see how it looks :)

Pa, moja greska je bila u tome sto nisam postovala jedno pravilo koje imam kada su u pitanju neonski lakovi. Oni su po svojoj strukturi uglavnom slabo pigmentisani, i stvarno im je potrebna bela podloga. Tako da sam na palcu i kaziprstu lakirala samo sledeci, Electric Lemon, i trebalo mu je 5 slojeva. Na ostala tri nokta, nalakirala sam beli Maybelline Colorama - French White i nakon njega, trebalo je samo 2 sloja. Sa susenjem sam opet imala istu situaciju, ova dva nokta gde nije bilo bele podloge su postala gelasta, ali ostala tri su se normalno i prilicno brzo osusila. 

So, my mistake was in that I didn't respected rule that I have when it comes to neon nail polishes. I think they all mostly have low pigmentation, and they really need white background. So I polished on my thumb and my index finger only with next one, Electric Lemon, and it took me 5 coats. On other three nails, I polished white Maybelline Colorama - French White, and after it, it only took 2 coats of Electric Lemon. With drying I had same situation like before. These two nails where there was not white base became gelish, and other three dried normally and pretty fast too.

Na kraju, moj omiljeni od ova tri, Brink of Pink. Ponovila sam proceduru sa belom podlogom, i sa njom je trebalo 2 sloja. Bez nje 4 sloja. 

At the end, my favourite from those three, Brick of Pink. I did that thing with white base again, and with it, it took 2 coats. Without white bas, 4 coats. 

Moj plan je bio da ih danas isprobam sve, ali sam imala problem da otvorim plavi i ljubicasti (da, imam jako slabe ruke). Onaj svetlo rozi, sam odlucila da nateram mamu da isproba, posto to stvarno nije moja boja, a njoj je jako svidja. Tako da, sledece nedelje mozete ocekivati ostala tri :). Kako vam se svidjaju moji Bootie Babe lakovi do sada?

My plan was to try them all today, but I had a problem with opening blue and purple one (yes, I have weak hands). That light rose one, I decided to give my mum to review it, since it's really not my color, and she love it. So, next week you can expect next three of them :). Nail Mail : Bootie Babes

Danas me je postar veoma obradovao. Ne pamtim kada sam zadnji put dobila lakice postom, ali pokusacu to da promenim. Jako mi se svidja osecaj otvaranja paketica :D. Napokon mi je stigao paketic od Bootie Babe Cosmetics. Poslali su mi jos u oktobru, ali nazalost, paket se izgubio negde usput. Srecom, Mark je bio toliko dobar da mi posalje novi paket. I evo ga.

Prvo sto sam primetila, je da su se nasi carinici ponasali kao i obicno - pomalo divljacki. Jedna kutijica je bila pocepana (uspela sam da je nekako izlepim), dok su druge imale znakove nasilnog otvaranja. Prebolecu nekako. Ono sto bas i necu preboleti tako brzo, je to sto se jedan divan lak prosuo. Sreca pa nije ceo prosut, tako da ce i dalje biti upotrebljiv. 

I da vam kazem, obozavam sto svaki lak ima svoju kutijicu :)

Today, my postman brought me a package. I can't remember when was a last time I got nail mail, but I'll try to change that. I really like the feeling while I'm opening them :D. Finally I got my mail from Bootie Babe Cosmetics. They sent it in October, but unfortunately, it was lost somewhere in mail. Luckily, Mark was kind enough to sent me another one. And here it is.

First thing that I noticed, was that workers on customs service in my country were (as usual) - kind a violent. On of the boxes was ripped of (I manage to seal it up somehow), while others had a signs of violent opening. I'll get over it. Thing that I wont get over that fast is, that one beautiful polish was spilled. There is some polish left in it, so it's still useful.

And I must tell you, I really love thing that every polish has it own box :)

Na vrhu svake kutijice nalazi se ime laka koji je unutra. U sustini, to je i prednost i mana. Prednost je to sto je veoma slatko, a mana je to sto nema imena napisanog na bocici. 

On the top of every box, there is name of nail polish that's inside. Basically, that is both advantage and disadvantage. Advantage is because it's really really cute, and bad thing is that there's no name of the polish written on a bottle.

Review : Monkey Nail Dryer

Danas sam dosla kuci, i pogodite sta me je sacekalo? Paketic iz Born Pretty Store-a. Stigao je jos pre 2 nedelje, ali mene nije bilo kuci tako da… Pored mnogih stvarcica za dalju prodaju, tu je bio i moj majmuncic :). Kada sam ugledala kutiju, za malo mi srce nije stalo, posto znam koliko nasi postari znaju da budu “nezni” :

Today when I got home, guess what waited for me? Mail from Born Pretty Store. It was here 2 weeks ago, but I wasn’t home so… Between lot of things for sale, there was my little monkey :). When I saw a box, my heart almost stopped to beat, since I know how “gentle” my postman knows to be :

Ali na srecu, majmun je preziveo :D. Posto baterije nisu ukljucene, u momentu sam izvadila baterije iz daljinskog, i stavila ih. Baterije se stavljaju sa zadnje strane, na majmunovoj glavi. Malo ih je teze staviti, ali kada imate musku ruku kao pomoc, veoma je lako ;).

Luckily, monkey survived :D. Since batteries aren’t included, I pulled out batteries from TV remote and putted them in. Batteries suppose to be putted on the backside, on monkeys head. It’s a little bit hard to put, bud when you have male’s hand as help, it’s very easy ;).

Ono sto je mene jako zanimalo kod ovog susaca laka pre nego sto sam ga kupila, bila je velicina. Zato sam ga stavila pored 4 laka za nokte : Essence, Isabelle Dupont, NYC i FlorMar, i kao sto mozete videti, majmunce je samo malkice veci od njih.

What I wanted to know about this nail polish dryer before I bought it, was the size. So I putted it next to 4 different nail polish : Essence, Isabelle Dupont, NYC and FlorMar, and as you can see, monkey is just a little bit bigger then they are.

A sada, sigurno se pitate kako ovo radi. Teorijski, prst stavite na nacrtane banane, pritisnete, a vazduh izlazi iz majmuncetovih usta i time vam susi nokte. U praksi : morate staviti minimum 2 prsta (ustvari, treci ne bi ni stao, posto je plocica veoma mala) i sa njima cvrsto stiskati plocicu gde su banane. Usput, cujete motor koji, po mom misljenju, preglasno radi. I koliko sam ja uspela da opipam, vazduh kao da ni ne izlazi iz usta, nego odavde :

And now, I’m sure you wonder how this works. Theoretically, you put your finger on painted bananas, press the button, and the air comes out from monkey’s mouth, and dry your nails. In praxis : you must put at least 2 fingers (actually, 3rd one can’t fit because plate is small) and press really hard on plate where are painted bananas. At the same time, you hear motor, that is, at my opinion, too loud. And I as I saw, air doesn’t come out from mouth, it comes from here :

A onda sam napravila eksperiment. Namazala sam jedan sloj Essence – In style, dva prsta sam stavila da se suse na normalnom vazduhu, a dva prsta susacem, i ukljucila stopericu. Posle 30 sekundi, svi nokti su bili suvi. Sledece, drugi sloj. Opet sam ponovila isti postupak 2-2 za susenje, i posle 2 minuta i 45 sekundi (proveravala sam na svakih 15 sekundi), svi nokti su bili prividno suvi. Ali samo prividno. Palcem sam probala da poguram lak sa noktiju, i… Sa nokta koji se susio normalnim putem, uspela sam da skinem veoma malo laka, samo deo povrsinskog sloja. Sa nokta koji se susio pod susacem, skinula sam veci deo laka, pa cak i prvi sloj.

And then I decided to make an experiment. I applied one coat of Essence – In style, I left two fingers to dry on normal air, and other two with a nail polish dryer and I started my stopwatch. After 30 second's, all nails were dry. Next, second coat. I did the same steps 2-2 for drying, and after 2 minutes and 45 second's (I checked it on every 15 second’s), all nails seemed to be dry. But they were not really. With my thumb I tried to pushed out polish from nails, and… From the nail that was regularly dried, I managed to take down small amount of polish, only from second coat. From the nail that was dried with dryer, I took down most of the polish, even first coat.

Zakljucak : Iskreno, ovaj susac ne sluzi svojoj svrsi. Plocicu na koju treba staviti nokte je tesko pritisnuti i motor je preglasan. Ipak, presladak je, a cena mu nije velika, oko 600RSD (6€). To je i razlog zasto cu ga zadrzati. Takodje, smatram da je ovo sladak poklon za neku devojcicu (kao sto sam ja u dusi :) ) kojoj su ove stvari interesantne. Za malo ozbiljnije devojke koje se bave noktima (ne, ja sam i dalje sa devojcicama :D), ovo nije pravo resenje.

Ako se ipak odlucite da ga kupite, mozete ga naci u Born Pretty Store-u, zajedno sa jos mnogo jeftinih potrepstina za vase nokte :). Salju besplatno po celom svetu, cak i kod nas.

Conclusion : To be honest, this dryer doesn’t do what it suppose to. Plate on which you need to put your nails is really hard to press and motor is too loud. But, it’s very cute, and price is not high, about 6€ / 8.15$. That’s the reason why I will keep it. Also, I think this is very nice present for a little girl (as I am in my soul :) )  that is interested in this stuffs. For big girls who care about their nails (no, I’m still with little girls :D), this in not solution.
