By the Pool

Prva subota u julu i lepo vreme su mi bili odličan izgovor da dan provedem na bazenima. U tom duhu, napravila sam jedan pravi sunčani i vodeni manikir (koji ipak više odgovara moru nego bazenu, ali more će morati da sačeka još dve nedelje :) ). 

Koristila sam : Gabrini N12, Gabrini #379 i akrilne boje.

First Saturday in July and nice weather were great excuse for me to spend they by the pool. In that spirit, I made one truly sunny and watery manicure (which actually fits more to the sea than to the pool, but sea will have to wait for me two more weeks :) ).

I used : Gabrini N12, Gabrini #379 and acrylic paints.

Jedan od lakova koje sam dobila iz Izraela je Glitter Bunny - Flip Flop Madness. U pitanju je lak sa puno neonskih plavih, pink i žutih glittera u providnoj bazi. Stigao je kao zamena za lak koji je već neko vreme na mojoj listi želja, Nailventurous - Pinkerbell. 

One of the polishes that I got from Israel is Glitter Bunny - Flip Flop Madness. It is a nail polish with lots of neon blue, pink and yellow glitter in a clear base. It arrived as a dupe for nail polish that is on my wishlist for a while now, Nailventurous - Pinkerbell. 

Ovo je moj prvi indie lak, a ono što ga čini još više posebnim, je to što je unikat. Poseban lak, napravljen samo za mene. Možete pretpostaviti koliko se specijalno osećam :). 

This is my first indie nail polish, and what makes it even more special, is that it is one of a kind. Special nail polish, made just for me. You can assume how special I feel :).

Pošto su ove šljokice u providnoj bazi, nalakirala sam ih preko Essence - Got a Secret. Preko njega, sve ove neonske boje su došle još više do izražaja. 

Since these glitters are in clear base, I polished them over Essence - Got a Secret.. Over it, all those neon colors seems to look even prettier.

Chip and Dale

Danas sam učinila sebe ponosnom  :). Nail art mi obično ide od ruke, ali uvek na kraju, kada gledam u slike nađem neke greške, nešto što bi, po meni, trebala da promenim. Nekada čak pronađem greške i mesecima kasnije. A i ako ste bile tu u mojim početnim danima sa nail art-om, sigurno se sećate Šilje koji nije imao uši :D. Danas sam crtala Čip-a i Dejl-a, slatke male veverice koje su radile sve što su mogle kako bi nervirale ostale Diznijeve junake u crtaćima. Čak i sada, što ih više gledam, to su mi više slađi :). 

Koristila sam : Essence - Naughty But Nice, Essence - Matryoshka Doll, Classic #322, Elegant #360 i akrilne boje. 

Today I'm so proud of myself :). My nail art usually goes good, but in the end, when I look at the pictures, I find mistakes, and some things that I would change. Sometimes, I even find mistakes after few months. And if you were here when I started with nail art, I'm sure you remember that Goofy that had no ears :D. Today I draw Chip and Dale, cute little chipmunks that did everything they could to annoy other Disney characters in cartoons. Even now, the more I look at them, more they are cute :).

I used : Essence - Naughty But Nice, Essence - Matryoshka Doll, Classic #322, Elegant #360 and acrylic paints.

Isabelle Dupont 412, Golden Rose Nail Art 116 & Essence Love of Pink





Moj zakljucak je : na prvi pogled izgleda neuredno. Na drugi pogled izgleda nekako neobicno lepo. A na treci pogled kao da je dete crtalo. Tako da moj savet (a na neki nacin i molba) – ostanite na drugom pogledu :D.
Koji je vas zakljucak?

My conclusion is : on first glance it looks messy. On second glance it seems strange but still kind a nice. And on third glance it looks like some child drew it. So my advice is – stay on the second one :D

Golden Rose Chameleon Effect 20 – Swatch & Review

Priznajem da sam se malo smirila prilikom kupovina lakova. Ako vas interesuje kako to da uspete – jednostavno je. Ne idite nigde gde postoje da se kupe lakove, makar to bio i supermarket. Narocito sam smanjila kupovinu Golden Rose lakova zato sto ih imam previse, a ni ne znam koje sve boje imam. Jedine koje sam obecala sebi da cu kupiti ako naletim na njih su Chameleon Effect, Holo i Graffiti. Od Holo i Graffiti i dalje ni traga ali sam naisla na ove Chameleon Effect, nazalost samo izmedju dve boje sam imala da biram, zlatne i zelene. Verovatno pretpostavljate – uzela sam oba.
Za danas sam vam odlucila pokazati ovaj zlatni, broj 20 – vise mi se svidela boja. E sad, ne znam sta vi mislite o kameleon lakovima, ali moja ocekivanja su bila da ce on na svetlosti da se presijava u drugu boju. Kod ovog laka ja to nisam primetila. Cetkica mu je super, ali je sav vodenast sto je otezalo aplikaciju i zahtevalo 4 sloja posle kojih jos uvek nisam dobila punu prekrivenost (vide se vrhovi noktiju i dalje). Sve u svemu, ja ne vidim ni K od kameleon u ovom laku. Cak sam pokusala i da stavim ruke na plavu podlogu ocekujuci da ce mozda dobiti plavicasti sjaj, ali nista ni od toga. Po meni, ovo je kao i svaki drugi zuto – zlatni lak.
 
I calm down a little bit with a polish shopping. If you are interested in how to succeed in that – it’s simple. Avoid places that sells them, even some supermarkets. I primary try to shop less Golden Rose polishes, because I have too many of them and I don’t even know which colors I have. Only GRs that I promised myself that I will bye when I see them are from Holo, Graffiti and Chameleon Effect. I still can’t find Holo’s and Graffiti but I have found Chameleon Effect, unfortunately there was only two color – gold and green. You can guess – I bought both of them.
For today I decided to show you gold one, number 20 – I liked the color a lot. Now, I don’t know what do you think of chameleon polishes, but my expectations were that they will change color on the different light. I didn’t noticed it. Brush is pretty good, but it’s kind of watery and that makes the application hard. I had to apply 4 layers and even after that I couldn’t achieve total opaque (you can still see tips). Anyway, I don’t see even C of Chameleon in this polish. I even try to put my hands on blue pad thinking that it will get bluish, but nothing from that. At my opinion, this is like every other yellow-gold polish.
 






Na kraju sam dodala i par cirkona i sarica akrilnom bojom. Kako vam se svidja ovaj lak? Jeste li probale neke “Kameleon” lakove?

At the end, I added few rhinestones and lines with acrylic color. Do you like this polish? Did you tried any “Chameleon” polishes?

Turtle Bay nails

Samo kratak post, ova vrucina me ubija :D.
Opet sam pocela da igram igricu Turtle Bay, i oni su mi dali inspiraciju za nail art :). Kao podlogu, koristila sam Golden Rose Paris 86, neka svetlo zelena boja i zuti Isabelle Dupont 412.

Just a quick post, this heat is killing me :D.
I started playing Turtle Bay game, and it gave me an inspiration for nail art :). As base, I used Golden Rose Paris 86 (light green) and yellow Isabelle Dupont 412.

Znam da veoma malo lici na kornjacu, ali nisam uspela bolje. Kako vi prezivljavate ove temperature?

Zelela sam da pokazem kako uobicajeni rucak izgleda u Srbiji. Od palca do malog prsta – od pica do dezerta. Pa, kao sto znate, pre rucka mora nesto da se popije, najcesce je to vino ili rakija (htela sam nacrtati rakiju, ali ne bi bilo razlike od vode :D). Onda tu je supa, pileca ili od paradajza. A onda – omiljeno jelo vecine ljudi iz Srbije – Sarma (tona mlevenog mesa, tona slaninice, i sto manje kupusa :D). Kao sto vec znate, sarma ne izgleda lepo na oko, ali je jako ukusna. A onda jedna przena pljeskavica, uz salatu i puno luka. Konacno dezert. Obicno je u pitanju torta – ali moja omiljena je sa jagodama tako da je i ovde ona :). Svidja vam se? Glasajte onda :)

I wanted to show off how usual lunch looks like in Serbia. From thumb to little finger - from drink to desert. So, before lunch we always drink something, usually it's wine or rakija (drink that is made in Serbia mixing alcohol and fruits). Then there is soup, that is usually chicken soup or tomato soup. Then the most favorite meal in Serbia - Sarma (something like cabbage rolls; we make that with cabbage, bacon and minced meat). Sarma doesn't look nice when you see it, but it's very delicious. Then is turn for fried burger with lettuce and lots of onion. And finally - desert. We usually have all sort of cakes, and mine favorite is Strawberry cake :). You like it? Then vote :)

Single Yellow

Obozavam da pronalazim nove marke lakova, a jos kad ih ima u tako lepim bojama – perfektno. Pa, uz sav moj trud, nisam uspela da saznam nista posebno o ovom brendu. Na laku pise “Single – Butterfly Collection”, a na deklaraciji da je zemlja porekla Poljska. Ovog puta – zuta boja #244. Prvo bih volela da pohvalim dizajn bocice. Toliko su slatke. Cetkica je malo kratka, ali to i prilici laku u takvoj bocici. Moram reci da sam odusevljena iako to nisam ocekivala. Lak u 2 sloja uspeva da pokrije sve, a susi se neverovatno brzo (bukvalno za 30ak sekundi) i to bez Sehe Vite. U sebi ima nekog zlatkastog shimera koji se predivno presijava na suncu. Naravno, njega nisam bas uspela da uhvatim fotoaparatom.

I just love discovering new brands of polishes, and when they are in so many pretty color – it’s perfect. Well, with all my effort. I couldn’t find out anything special about this brand. On the bottle it says “Single – Butterfly Collection”, and on the declaration I saw that it came from Poland. This time – yellow one #244. First I want to tell you about bottle. It’s so cute! Brush is a little bit shorter, but it’s ok when you look at size of the bottle. I must say that I’m very satisfied with this polish- although I didn’t expect that. Polish succeed to cover all with 2 layers, and it dries very fast (literally in less then 30 seconds) and that’s without Sehe Vite. It has some gold shimmer inside, that is shining on the sun. Of course, I couldn’t catch it with my camera.

I onda malo crtanja akrilnim :)…

Marker’s mani

Evo me, kao sto sam i obecala sa lepim vestima. Uspela sam da polozim sve ispite koje sam planirala za ovaj rok. Tako da sam slobodna ko ptica na grani do sledeceg roka :). Dok sam ucila, od velike pomoci su bili fluorescentni markeri kojima obozavam da podvlacim tekstove. A posluzili su i kao inspiracija za nokte. Posto uvek koristim 3 markera – zuti, narandzasti i zeleni, takvi su i nokti.


Here I am, as I promised, and with good news. I succeed to pass all exams that I planned for this deadline. I’m free as a bird until next one :). While I was studying, fluorescent markers were very helpful and I love to underline texts with them. They also served as an inspiration for my nails. Since I always use 3 colors of markers – yellow, orange and green, nails are the same.

Blossoms etc… polishes

Secate se da sam vam pre 2 nedelje rekla da sam dobila od Essence-a nekoliko njihovih  proizvoda iz Blossoms etc… kolekcije? Dan posle toga, otputovala sam nazad na fakultet, i totalno zaboravila da ih ponesem. Kada sam napokon stigla kuci, nisam mogla da docekam da ih isprobam. I iskreno, nisam nesto odusevljena…
Prvo od njih je My Yellow Fellow, koji izgleda perfektno u bocici. Pastelno zuta boja sa zlatnim shimerom (Amra mi je rekla da je to shimer, a ne sljokice :D). Po meni, cetkica mu je pretanka, a formula vodenasta. Trebala su mu 3 sloja da bi izgledao relativno jednak na noktima i da bi boja bila ista kao u bocici. Iskreno, veoma sam se namucila sa mazanjem, i mislim da ga necu skoro stavljati opet.

Do you remember two weeks ago when I told you that I got few products from Essence from Blossoms etc… collection? Day after that, I traveled back to college and totally forgot to bring them with me. When I finally came home, I couldn’t wait to try them out. And sincerely, I’m not very satisfied…
First of them is My Yellow Fellow, that looks perfectly in bottle. Pastel yellow color with golden shimmer (Amra says that’s the shimmer, not glitter :D). At my opinion, brush is too thin, and formula is too watery. It took him 3 layers to get relatively even look on nails, and to get the same color that’s in the bottle. I had a very tough time to apply it, and I think I won’t use it soon.  



Drugi, Bloom-a-Loom je najbolji od ova 3 isprobana laka. Cetkica mu je isto tanka, ali mu je formula malo gusca, sto je pokrilo taj nedostatak. Stavila sam isto 3 sloja, iako bi i samo 2 bila dovoljna ako pazljivo mazete. Kod sva 3 ova laka sam primetila da ako vam prethodni sloj nije 130% suv, i namazete sledeci, pojavljuju se grudvice koje se tesko pokriju.

Second one, Bloom-a-Loom, is the best from these 3 polishes I tried out. Brush is thin, but the formula is much better and that covers the lack of brush. I applied 3 layers, 2 would be enough if you are very carefully with applying. I noticed with all 3 of these, that if previous layer isn’t 130% dry, and you apply another one, lot of dots appear and they’re hard to cover.



Konacno, treci po redu – I Like, lepa pastelna tirkizna boja sa srebrnkastim simmerom. Skoro odlicna pokrivenost sa 2 sloja, ali i dalje sam imala problem tanke cetkice i stvaranje grudvica.

Finally, third one – I Like, beautiful pastel turquois color with silvery shimmer. Almost great cover with 2 coats, but I still had troubles with thin brush and appearing dots. 



Posto je ovaj bio poslednji na mojim nokticima danas, resila sam da mu dodam jos mali cvetic :).

Since this was the last one on my nails today, I decided to add him small flower :)

Truly neon yellow

Naleteh pre par dana na pijaci na ove Rapsodi lakove. Cula sam za njih, ali nikad do sad probala. Posle malo googlanja, vidim da je to jos jedna od onih Turskih kozmetika poput Golden Rose i Gabrini. Posto sam sa njima bila koliko toliko zadovoljna, uzela sam 3 komada. Postujem ono da ne treba suditi na prvu loptu, pa rekoh ajde da na osnovu tri razlicita posudim. Uzela sam neonski zuti, neonski narandzasti i svetlo ljubicasti. 

Danas, imam za vas neonski zuti – 194. Izgleda je to ono sto povezuje sve Turske kozmeticke kuce – ne umeju da smisle normalne nazive lakova. Sto se ovog tice, mislim da je najvise neonski lak od svih koje sam do sad probala. Trebalo mi je 4 sloja (mogla su mozda i 2 deblja da prodju, ali je lak dosta vodenast, pa nisam htela da rizikujem). Cetkica je dobra, cak mi se cini da je ista kao i kod Golden Rose. Ono sto mi smeta kod ovog laka je lepljivost. Imam osecaj kao da mi je zuta guma nalepljena preko noktiju… A evo kako izgleda sa tih 4 sloja :

I run out few days ago on the market at this Rapsodi polishes. I have heard of them, but I never tried them before. After a little research on google, I saw that it’s one of those Turkish cosmetics such as Golden Rose and Gabrini. Since I found those to be very good, I bought 3 of them. I respect the policy “don’t judge on first look”, so I said “let's judge on first 3 looks”. I took the neon yellow, neon orange and bright purple.

Today, I've got a neon yellow – 194. It seems this is what connects all the Turkish cosmetics company - they can not come up with normal names for polishes. About this one, I think it’s the most neon of all neon polishes that I have tried so far. It took me 4 layers (maybe it could be 2 thickly, but texture is very watery so I didn’t want to risk). Brush is good, it seems to me that it’s the same one as in the Golden Rose. What bothers me about this is stickiness. I feel like I have yellow rubber stick over the nails ...Here's how it looks with those 4 layers:



Nisam mogla nista da uradim pametno sa ovom bojom. Ni mat, ni sljokice, nista… Pa sam nacrtala nesto sto bi trebalo da budu cvetici :)

I couldn’t do anything smart with this color. Not even matt, or glitter, anything… So I draw something that should be flowers :)



Kako vam se svidja ova boja? Meni je glupo cak i da izadjem iz kuce sa njom na noktima. Ne moze se ni uz sta uklopiti. Jeste li probale Rapsodi lakove?

How do you like this color? I feel stupid to leave the house with this on my nails. It can’t be match with anything. Did you tried Rapsodi polishes?

Black french… again :) + I need advice :)

Jos uvek smisljam ideju za uskrsnji manikir. Ali nisam mogla ostaviti gole nokte tako da je moralo da padne jedno lakiranje :). Kombinacija Essence Sundance i Miss Sporty Fatal Black. Odusevljena sam sa oba ova laka pojedinacno, ali zajedno ocigledno ne idu. Mozda i idu, ali mi jednostavno nije bio dan.

I’m still thinking of ideas for Easter mani. But I couldn’t leave naked nails so it must had been some polishing :). Combo of Essence Sundance and Miss Sporty Fatal Black. I love both of this polishes alone, but together they just don’t fit. Maybe they do, maybe I just had a bad day…











Sutra je novi dan :). Takodje, zelela bih da vas upitam za savet. Polomila sam nokat (kaziprst), ne vidi se kada ga namazem, ali je pitanje koliko moze izdrzati da ne odpadne. Sta vi mislite, da ga nadogradim ili da skratim sve ostale skroz?

Tomorrow is a new day :). Also, I want to ask you for advice. I broke my nail (point finger), you can’t see it when is polished, but it’s queastion how much time is going to pass since he fell off. What do you think, should I put gel nail on that one nail or should I cut all others?

Quick Mix

Tokom zadnjeg snizenjau DM-u, od hrpe lakova koje sam kupila, nisam tad ni primetila da sam uzela dva ista. U pitanju je Essence Sundancer, prelepa zuta koja bukvalno oslikava boju sunca, bar u bocici. Prvi sloj – nikakav. Ako uzmem vise, razliva se; ako uzmem manje – ne pokriva. Drugi sloj je uspeo da popravi stvar i pokrije skoro sve.

On the last sale in DM, between bunch of polishes that I bought, I didn’t even realized then that I got two that are same. It’s the Essence Sundancer, beautiful yellow that literally looks like color of the sun, at least in the bottle. First layer- nothing. If I take more, it spills out; if I take less, – it doesn’t cover it. Second layer managed to fix the thing and cover almost everything.



Lep je, razumem ja to. Ali mu je falilo nesto. Povukla ja par sarica sa Essence Glisten Up!-om, plavim sljokicavim lakicem, ni ocekujuci da ce biti – zelenkaste! 

It’s nice, I understand that. But he was missing something. I draw couple of lines with Essence Glisten Up!, blue glitter little polish, and I didn’t expecting that they will be – greenly!




Nije ni taj plavi los, vec imam neke idejice da ga upotrebim, naravno bez zute podloge. Da ne pricam da je i njemu trebalo 2 sloja. Kad se vec igram – I nastavicu da se igram. Jos koja linijica Golden Rose Nail Art-a br. 116 (koji moram priznati da je jako dobro pigmentisam i obozavam ga jos odavno).

It’s not that bad – that blue, I already have some ideas to use it, of course without yellow as base. It took him 2 layer's too. When I’m already playing – I kept on with play. Some more lines with Golden Rose Nail Art No. 116 (which I love for a while, and have very good pigmentation).



Znate kako kazu “Kad je bal, nek je maskenbal”. Tako da sam dovrsila ovu igricu sa tackicama Golden Rose Nail Art br 115. To je nek neonska zuta, prosto je morate voleti. Znam da je ja volim.

You know how they say “Where is ball, there is costume ball”. So I finished this game with dots with Golden Rose Nail Art No 115. It’s sort of neon yellow, you have to love it. I know I do.



Kada pogledam ovako ucelo, nervira me sto je jako neprecizno. Ali uzimajuci u obzir da je 3 ujutro, i da sam se samo igrala, svidja mi se. Sta vi mislite?

When I see it now, it annoys me that it’s not precisely. But considering that it’s 3AM, and that I was just playing, I like it. What do you think?

Stars

Posto su mi prethodni nokti bili skroz bez akrila, nedostajao mi je, pa su ovi trebali da budu skroz sa akrilom. Uglavnom, imala sam ideju za crtez, odlucila sam da bude samo na dva nokta, ali nisam imala pojma sta cu sa ostalima. Posle pokusaja sa raznim nijansama zute boje (ni jedna mi nije odgovarala nijansa), smislila sam da probam da uradim french sa akrilom. Losa ideja, jako losa. Akril je odlican za crtanje, ali kao zamena za lak – nikako! Na slikama koje su kao malo izdalje se ne vidi toliko, ali na ovim sto su blizu vide se neravnine ogromne. Izgleda mi nokat ko planinski venac. Fuj, fuj, fuj skidam ja ovo sa noktiju odmah. Ali eto ipak bar crtezom da se pohvalim.


Since my previous nails were completely free of acrylics, I missed it, so these supposed to be full-acrylic. Basically, I had an idea for nail art, I decided to it will be only on two nails, but I had no idea what I will do with others. After attempts with various shades of yellow color (I didn’t like them), I had an idea to try to do French with acrylic. Bad idea, very bad. Acrylic is excellent for drawing, but as a replacement for polish - no way! In the pictures, which are from far you can’t see much, but if you see close there are huge bumps. It looks to me like a nail is mountain wreath. Yuck, yuck, yuck I take it off nails immediately. But stars are still nice.
