Matching Manicure - French Manicure

French manikir je nešto što jednostavno ne volim da vidim. Ni na svojim noktima, ni na tuđim. Možda zato što je previše dugo "u trendu" ili možda zato što je postao klasika. U svakom slučaju, nisam želela da propustim ovonedeljni Matching Manicure pa sam se prilagodila većini :). Odlučila sam se za srebrnkasto šljokičastu/elegantno crnu kombinaciju, međutim loše vreme mi je upropastilo ovaj šljokičasti deo koji se uporno ne želi pokazati. Zbog toga je tu jedna mutna slika uslikana sa blicem koja vam može dočarati kako to treba da izgleda :).

Koristila sam : Essence - Super,Man i Miyo - Black.

French manicure is something that I don't like to see. Neither on my nails, nor on someone else. Maybe it's because it is to long "in" or maybe because it is too classy. Anyway, I didn't want to skip this weeks Matching Manicure so I did it :). I decided for silvery glitter/elegant black combination, but bad weather ruined that glitter part that didn't want to show up. That's why there is also one blurry picture taken with flash, so you can see how that is suppose to look like.

I used : Essence - Super,Man and Miyo - Black.

Sometimes, it happens...

Greška na noktima. Priznajem, prošlo je poprilično vremena od kada mi se to desilo :). Nekima od vas će se možda i svideti, ko zna. Uglavnom, ovo ispadne kada nemate konkretnu ideju nego samo lakirate nokte. Nalakirala sam moje sa holo crvenim lakom Catherine Arley #800, i ispečatirala ih sa crnim Miyo - Black i pločicom BM - 204. Sve bi se zaustavilo tu i možda bi mi se i dopalo da sam uspela da ispečatiram nokte ravno. Ali budući da su moji nokti malo zakrivljeni, ovo je bila nemoguća misija. Umesto da sve obrišem i krenem ispočetka sa nečim novim, napravila sam french manikir sa mat crnim lakom theBalm - I Take my Coffee Matte and Black koji je izgledao manje mat nego što je ovaj Miyo - Black (koji ni nije mat uopšte). I na kraju, crvene šljokice u providnoj bazi, Aura - Soul Shade. Ne znam šta mi je sve ovo trebalo :).

Nail fail. I admit, it has been I while since that happened :). Some of you may even like it, who knows. Anyway, this is what you get when you don't have any idea, when you just paint your nails. I painted mine with holo red nail polish Catherine Arley #800, and stamped them with black nail polish Miyo - Black and plate BM - 204. I would stopped it here and maybe I would like it if I could stamp my nails straight. But, since my nails are a little bit curved, that was mission impossible. And instead I removed all of it and start over with something new, I made a french mani with matte nail polish theBalm - I Take my Coffee Matte and Black that looks less matte than Miyo - Black is (this one isn't matte at all). And in the end, red glitter in a clear base, Aura - Soul Shade. I don't know why I needed that :).

Always perfect combination : Black&White

Danas moja mama ide na vencanje kod prijatelja, tako da sam ja bila zaduzena za nokte koji ce se uklapati u njenu odevnu kombinaciju. Kao savrsenu kombinaciju za svaku priliku, odabrala je crno-beli outfit te su zato i nokti takvi. Moram priznati da se malo opirala zbog crnog laka na noktima, posto to nije njen stil, ali joj se krajnji rezultat jako svideo. Koristile smo :


Today my mother is going to friend’s wedding, so I had to do her nails that will match her clothes combination. As perfect combo for every occasion, she chose black and white outfit so that how her nails looked too. I have to admit that she hated idea of having black nail polish, because it’s not her style, but at the end, she liked it a lot. We used:


- Maybelline Mini Colorama – French White (for french line)
- Miss Sporty - Fatal Black (for base on ring finger)
- Black and White Acrylic Paint
- Some stickers
- FlorMar 010 (as top coat)









Ja mislim da je isplao fantasticno, i sto mi je najvaznije, i ona misli. A sta vi mislite?

Purple with red shimmer

Danas, jos jedan Golden Rose - 312. Imam ga vec duze vreme, ali jednostavno nije stizao na red za swatch. Nekako, uvek kad sam ga uzela u ruke bilo je pod losim osvetljenjem, i nije mi se cinio nista poseban. Ali verujte mi, prelep je kad se gleda pod odredjenim uglom. Boja je ljubicasta, ali neka cudna nijansa. Ono sto je predivno – u sebi ima crvenog shimmera koji sija kao lud. Retko koji Golden Rose lakovi imaju tu osobinu da su isti u bocici kao i na noktu. Ovaj je jedan od tih. Posle samo 2 sloja, dobila sam punu prekrivenost ovih mojih ogromnih noktiju. Onima koji imaju krace nokte, verovatno bi bio dovoljan jedan sloj. Pogledajte ovu lepotu : 

Today, another Golden Rose –312. I have it for a while, but it just wasn’t it’s turn for swatching. Somehow, always that I took it in my hands, it was under the bad light and it wasn’t seems special. But trust me, it is gorgeous when you look at him under specific angles. Color is purple, but with strange shade. What is amazing with this polish is that it has red shimmer that shines like crazy. You can rarely find Golden Rose polishes that have feature that they are same in the bottle like they are on nails. This one is one of them. After only 2 layers, I got full opaque even on my long nails. For those of you who have shorter nails, you will probably need just one. Check out this beauty : 





Slikala sam i sa blicem i bez njega, kako posto se pod razlicitom kolicinom svetlosti vidi razlicita kolicina tog crvenkastog shimmera.
Cisto da ne bude sam, napravila sam french ljubicastim mat lakom iz Avona – Violetta, a na prstenjaku sam nacrtala tackice istim lakom.

I took a pictures with flash and without it, just because it depends of lightening how much of those red shimmer you will see.
I didn’t wanted to leave it alone, so I made a french manicure with purple Avon Mat – Violetta, and on a ring finger I draw dots with the same polish.





Stvarno mi se svidja mat french. A vama?

Golden Rose Chameleon Effect 20 – Swatch & Review

Priznajem da sam se malo smirila prilikom kupovina lakova. Ako vas interesuje kako to da uspete – jednostavno je. Ne idite nigde gde postoje da se kupe lakove, makar to bio i supermarket. Narocito sam smanjila kupovinu Golden Rose lakova zato sto ih imam previse, a ni ne znam koje sve boje imam. Jedine koje sam obecala sebi da cu kupiti ako naletim na njih su Chameleon Effect, Holo i Graffiti. Od Holo i Graffiti i dalje ni traga ali sam naisla na ove Chameleon Effect, nazalost samo izmedju dve boje sam imala da biram, zlatne i zelene. Verovatno pretpostavljate – uzela sam oba.
Za danas sam vam odlucila pokazati ovaj zlatni, broj 20 – vise mi se svidela boja. E sad, ne znam sta vi mislite o kameleon lakovima, ali moja ocekivanja su bila da ce on na svetlosti da se presijava u drugu boju. Kod ovog laka ja to nisam primetila. Cetkica mu je super, ali je sav vodenast sto je otezalo aplikaciju i zahtevalo 4 sloja posle kojih jos uvek nisam dobila punu prekrivenost (vide se vrhovi noktiju i dalje). Sve u svemu, ja ne vidim ni K od kameleon u ovom laku. Cak sam pokusala i da stavim ruke na plavu podlogu ocekujuci da ce mozda dobiti plavicasti sjaj, ali nista ni od toga. Po meni, ovo je kao i svaki drugi zuto – zlatni lak.
 
I calm down a little bit with a polish shopping. If you are interested in how to succeed in that – it’s simple. Avoid places that sells them, even some supermarkets. I primary try to shop less Golden Rose polishes, because I have too many of them and I don’t even know which colors I have. Only GRs that I promised myself that I will bye when I see them are from Holo, Graffiti and Chameleon Effect. I still can’t find Holo’s and Graffiti but I have found Chameleon Effect, unfortunately there was only two color – gold and green. You can guess – I bought both of them.
For today I decided to show you gold one, number 20 – I liked the color a lot. Now, I don’t know what do you think of chameleon polishes, but my expectations were that they will change color on the different light. I didn’t noticed it. Brush is pretty good, but it’s kind of watery and that makes the application hard. I had to apply 4 layers and even after that I couldn’t achieve total opaque (you can still see tips). Anyway, I don’t see even C of Chameleon in this polish. I even try to put my hands on blue pad thinking that it will get bluish, but nothing from that. At my opinion, this is like every other yellow-gold polish.
 






Na kraju sam dodala i par cirkona i sarica akrilnom bojom. Kako vam se svidja ovaj lak? Jeste li probale neke “Kameleon” lakove?

At the end, I added few rhinestones and lines with acrylic color. Do you like this polish? Did you tried any “Chameleon” polishes?

Crackle French & Nail Art

U toku spremanja za put, nabrzaka sam namazala nokte. Za podlogu, uzela sam pink Isabelle Dupont 415 (mogli ste videti swatch i recenziju ovde), a onda sam naletela na moj stari i jedini Crackle lak – Tina (moze biti i Sina, nerazumljivo je napisano). Mozda se secate koliko sam bila uzbudjena kad sam ga pre par meseci kupila, a zatim se razocarala kad sam shvatila da se skida sa noktiju vodom. Tako da ne mozete ni ruke da operete :). Tada nisam imala SV, tako da sam odlucila da mu dam jos jednu sansu – ali u malo drugacijem izdanju. 

While I was packing today for a road, I did a quick mani. For base coat, I used pink Isabelle Dupont 415 (you could see review and swatch here), and then I found my one and only crackle polish – Tina (maybe it’s Sina, font is strange). Maybe you remember my excitement when I bought it few months ago, and then I disappointed when I realize that it comes off with water. So you can’t even wash hands :). Then I didn’t have SV, so I decided to give my crackle another chance – but with a different look.





Kao sto vidite probala sam french i nail art. Za french, ovaj lak je sasvim ok, i cak smatram da veoma lepo izgleda. Opet, za nail art vam ne bih preporucila crackle lakove. Vecina njih se jako brzo susi, tako da nemate vremena da koristite drugu cetkicu, da crtate polako i razmisljate o tome.
Sto se tice mog crackle laka, SV mu je malo pomogao ali ne dovoljno. Priznajem da se nije skinuo tokom pranja ruku, ali jeste posle par sati. Sledeci put probacu 2+ sloja SV pa ako se i onda skine, ne znam sta cu.
Inace, sutra idem za Madjarsku, na par dana na odmor. Ne brinite, spremila sam vam nesto za citanje i dok nisam tu, a na komentare cu odgovoriti cim budem mogla.

As you can see, I tried french and nail art. For french mani, this polish is totally ok, I even think that it looks very nice. Although, for nail art I don’t recommend it. Most of the crackle polishes is fast drying, so you don’t have time to use a different brushes, to draw slowly and to think about it.
About my crackle polish, SV helped it but not enough. I admit that it didn’t come off during the hand washing, but it did after just a few hours. Next time, I will try to use 2+ layers of SV and if it comes off then, I don’t know what will I do.
By the way, tomorrow I’m going to Hungary for a few days on Vacation. Don’t worry, I prepared for you something to read while I’m not here, and I will answer on your comments as soon as I’m back.

The One and Only–Thelma :)

Mickey Mouse–My first attempt

Nisam sigurna ni zasto Miki Maus. Mozda zato sto je prosle nedelje bio Silja, a mozda zato sto stvarno volim Diznijeve crtace…. Uglavnom, pronasla sam par slika na Googlu koje su mi sluzile kao modeli, i bacila se na posao. Mali savet : kad trazite sliku onoga sto zelite da nacrtate na noktima – uvek gledajte par slika odjednom, zato sto to mnogo olaksava. Na nekoj slici moze biti komplikovano uradjen jedan delic, dok je na drugoj to mnogo jednostavnije. To pomaze da prilagodite sliku svom crtackom umecu. Posto moje nije veliko, izabrala sam skoro sve najjednostavnije.
Kao podloga Essence – Lime Up!, za french liniju Isabelle Dupont 415, a preko svega holo glitter Isabelle Dupont 268.

I’m not even sure why Mickey Mouse. Maybe because last week was Goofy, but maybe it’s because I really love Disney cartoons… Anyway, I found few pictures on Google for model, and threw myself on the job. Small tip : when you are searching for pictures of what you want to draw on your nails – always look at few pictures at the time, because it make everything easier. On one picture, one part is complicated, while on other one is very simple. That helps to adjust your picture with your drawing skill. Since mine is not great, I chose almost all of the easiest parts.
As base coat Essence – Lime Up!, for french line Isabelle Dupont 415, a over everything as a top coat is holo glitter Isabelle Dupont 268.

Turtle Bay nails

Samo kratak post, ova vrucina me ubija :D.
Opet sam pocela da igram igricu Turtle Bay, i oni su mi dali inspiraciju za nail art :). Kao podlogu, koristila sam Golden Rose Paris 86, neka svetlo zelena boja i zuti Isabelle Dupont 412.

I started playing Turtle Bay game, and it gave me an inspiration for nail art :). As base, I used Golden Rose Paris 86 (light green) and yellow Isabelle Dupont 412.

Znam da veoma malo lici na kornjacu, ali nisam uspela bolje. Kako vi prezivljavate ove temperature?

I know it doesn’t look like a real turtle, but I couldn’t do it better. How do you survive these temperatures?

Is less more? (Flowers again)

Priznajem, nisam planirala da ga kupim. Nije mi bio lep i jako mi je licio na onaj No more Drama iz prethodnog posta. I dalje mi lice. Mogla bih da uradim poredjenje. O tome neki drugi put. U pitanju je Date Me iz Cute As Hell kolekcije. Zasto sam ga kupila? Ne znam, verovatno zato sto je bio na snizenju. Imam tu bolest, da kad god vidim da je znak “snizenje” moram nesto da kupim. Pogotovo kad su lakovi u pitanju. Sto se ovog laka tice, sasvim je ok, pokriva u jednom sloju, malo jos ostane providno na vrhovima ali mi nije smetalo jer sam zelela da napravim i french. French sam uradila XXXL lakom – Dress to Party. Inace, ovo mi je prvi XXXL koji sam probala i prezadovoljna sam. U jednom sloju je prekrio i onu providnost i Date Me. Naravno, pretpostavljate da sam i njega kupila zato sto je bio na snizenju :).

I admit, I didn’t plan to buy it. I wasn’t find him pretty and he looks a lot like that No More Drama from previous post. It still look like that one. I could do comparison. Another time. It’s Date Me from Cute As Hell collection. Why did I bought it? I don’t know, probably because it was on sale. I have that disease, whenever I see “Sale” sign I have to buy something. Especially when it’s polish sale. About this polish, it’s ok, it covers in one layer, you can see only little of transparency on tips, but I didn’t mind because I wanted to do a french too. I did French with XXXL polish – Dress to Party. By the way, this is my first XXXL polish that I tried, and I’m over satisfied. In one layer, he covered Date Me and that transparency. Of course, you know why I bought them too – sale :)





Jako su mi je lepo kako se presijava Dress To Party, kao da ima neke sljokice u sebi. Naravno, nisam mogla stati ovde. Tako da sam opet nacrtala cvetice, i ocigledno dokazala da nikad nisam razumela izreku “Manje je vise”.

It’s so nice how Dress To Party shine, like he has some glitter in self. Of course, I couldn’t stop here. So I draw flowers again, and obviously prove myself that I never understood the sentence “Less is more”.





Da li je manje vise? Mislim, nije nam vise kad imamo manje novca, lakova, cipela, svega. Mozda ovo ne mora da se odnosi ni na nokte. A mozda… mozda bi trebala da prestanem da filozofiram i jednostavno naucim da stanem sa cetkicom u ruci. Jel ovo ipak previse? 

It less more? I meen, it isn’t more when we have less money, polishes, shoes, everything. Maybe this isn’t meant for nails either. And maybe… maybe I should stop philosophize and simple learn to stop with brush in my hand. Is this too much?

S-he 339

Videvsi na nekim blogovima, kako se pominju S-he lakovi, setila sam se da imam jos jedan koji nikad nisam probala. Iako onim prvim, ljubicastim 464 nisam bila ni malo zadovoljna, nekako sam se nadala da ce ovaj plavi 399 biti barem za nijansu bolji. Nisam bila te srece. Cini mi se kao da je napravljen od vode u koju je ubacena minijaturna kapljica boje. Dok se susio, bukvalno se slivao sa noktiju. I evo sta sam dobila nakon 6 (da, SEST) slojeva.

I saw some blogs mentioning S-he polishes, and that reminded me that I still have one more that I’ve never tried out. Previous was purple 464, and I wasn’t satisfied with it, somehow I hoped that this blue one 399 will be little better. I didn’t had luck. It seems like it is made out of water in which they put one tiny tiny drop of color. While he was drying, he was literally falling out of nails. And this is what I got after 6 (yes, SIX) layers.



Jos uvek se moze videti manjak boje na vrhovima noktiju. Kako bih uspela prekriti taj nedostatak, napravila sam french sa predivnim lakicem iz Essence kolekcije Secrets of the Past – Meet me in Budapest. Ima boju izmedju plave i zelene, i ono sto mu je najveci plus je to sto potpuno prekriva u samo jednom sloju.

You can still see lack of color on the tips. I wanted to cover that, so I made french with beautiful polish from Essence collection Secrets of the Past – Meet me in Budapest. His color is somewhere between blue and green, and his biggest plus is that he full covers in only one layer.

Pa, bar sam donela jednu odluku. Nikada vise S-he. Znam da su mnoge od vas imale dobre utiske u vezi njihovih lakova, ali ocigledno meni to ne ide od ruke.

Well, at least I brought one decision. Never again S-he. I know lot of you had good experience with their polishes, but obviously they are not made for my nails.

Black french… again :) + I need advice :)

Jos uvek smisljam ideju za uskrsnji manikir. Ali nisam mogla ostaviti gole nokte tako da je moralo da padne jedno lakiranje :). Kombinacija Essence Sundance i Miss Sporty Fatal Black. Odusevljena sam sa oba ova laka pojedinacno, ali zajedno ocigledno ne idu. Mozda i idu, ali mi jednostavno nije bio dan.

I’m still thinking of ideas for Easter mani. But I couldn’t leave naked nails so it must had been some polishing :). Combo of Essence Sundance and Miss Sporty Fatal Black. I love both of this polishes alone, but together they just don’t fit. Maybe they do, maybe I just had a bad day…











Sutra je novi dan :). Takodje, zelela bih da vas upitam za savet. Polomila sam nokat (kaziprst), ne vidi se kada ga namazem, ali je pitanje koliko moze izdrzati da ne odpadne. Sta vi mislite, da ga nadogradim ili da skratim sve ostale skroz?

Tomorrow is a new day :). Also, I want to ask you for advice. I broke my nail (point finger), you can’t see it when is polished, but it’s queastion how much time is going to pass since he fell off. What do you think, should I put gel nail on that one nail or should I cut all others?

Abstract…

Kao sto sam i planirala,  jos jedan pokusaj abstraktne “umetnosti”. Ovaj put nije french, nego preko celog nokta. Moram priznati da nisam bas zadovoljna, ali nema veze, nalakirani nokti su nalakirani nokti kakvi god da su, moramo ih voleti :).

As I planed, another attempt of abstract “art”. This time it’s not french, it’s over the whole nail. I have to admit I wasn’t satisfied, but never mind, polished nails are polished nails, and whatever they are we have to love them :)

Prvo, da vam kazem o bazi. Divan zeleni lak, Essence Lime Up!. Mazanje je bilo prelagano, vreme susenje minimalno, a boja jako podseca na prolece. Za ovakvu pokrivenost trebalo je 2 sloja. Treci bi bio suvisan.

First, let me tell you about the base. Beautiful green polish, Essence Lime Up!. Applying was very easy, time of drying minimal, and color is reminding me on spring. It took him 2 layers, third would be too much.





Onda sam pocela da povlacim linije, na pocetku sa Golden Rose Nail Art br. 116 i 123…

Then I started to draw some lines, first with Golden Rose Nail Art No116 and 123…



A onda finalni momenat kada sam uspela da unistim sve, hvatajuci se za svaki lak ili akrilnu boju koja mi je bila pri ruci. 

And then the final moment when I succeed in ruining everything, grabbing every polish or acryl paint that was near my hand.



Sta da vam kazem, nikad nisam znala kada da stanem... Sta vi mislite o ovim nokticima?

What can I say, I never knew when to stop… What do you think about this nails?

Love is in the air…

Sigurno vam je poznata situacija. Mazete nokte svakih 2,3 dana, crtate, pecatirate, bukvalno se igrate i uvek izgleda lepo. A onda dodje dan kada “morate” da imate lepo namazane nokte, tj ne morate ali to je deo vas. I onda,… nijedan lak nece lepo da se namaze, cini vam se kao da nema pukotina na plocicama za pecate, akrilne boje se jako zgusnule, ruke se tresu previse, ma jos 1000 drugih gluposti vam nisu kako treba. E takav sam ja dan imala juce. Decko i ja smo slavili 6 godina veze (ne mogu da verujem da je proslo toliko), a taj dan je za mene skroz srcast i crven – kao za Dan Zaljubljenih. Nakon preko 2 sata pokusavanja, uspela sam nesto da napravim. I za cudo, zadovoljna sam.

You certainly know this situation. You do your nails every 2 or 3 days, draw, stamp on them, you are literally playing and it always look nice. And then come the day when you “must” have nice nails. You don’t have to, but it’s part of who you are. And then… none of the polish is good, you think there is nothing on the stamping plates, acryl paints are not how they used to be, your hands are shaking too much, and 1000 other thing that are not right. That’s the day I had yesterday. My boyfriend and I were celebrating 6 year anniversary (I can’t believe that it has been that much), and that day is all heart-shaped and red for me- like Valentine’s day. After over 2 hours of trying, I managed to make something. And it’s a miracle – I’m satisfied.











Probala sam Essence bele boje za french, ali mi je bio jako svetao, tako da sam se ipak vratila na Golden Rose 242. Sve ostalo je akril. I jos samo da se pohvalim sta sam dobila na poklon – slaze mi se uz nokte :).


I tried white Essence for french, but it was too light, so I returned to Golden Rose 242. Everything else is acryl paints. And to show you what I got as a gift – it fits with my nails :).

Stars

Posto su mi prethodni nokti bili skroz bez akrila, nedostajao mi je, pa su ovi trebali da budu skroz sa akrilom. Uglavnom, imala sam ideju za crtez, odlucila sam da bude samo na dva nokta, ali nisam imala pojma sta cu sa ostalima. Posle pokusaja sa raznim nijansama zute boje (ni jedna mi nije odgovarala nijansa), smislila sam da probam da uradim french sa akrilom. Losa ideja, jako losa. Akril je odlican za crtanje, ali kao zamena za lak – nikako! Na slikama koje su kao malo izdalje se ne vidi toliko, ali na ovim sto su blizu vide se neravnine ogromne. Izgleda mi nokat ko planinski venac. Fuj, fuj, fuj skidam ja ovo sa noktiju odmah. Ali eto ipak bar crtezom da se pohvalim.


Since my previous nails were completely free of acrylics, I missed it, so these supposed to be full-acrylic. Basically, I had an idea for nail art, I decided to it will be only on two nails, but I had no idea what I will do with others. After attempts with various shades of yellow color (I didn’t like them), I had an idea to try to do French with acrylic. Bad idea, very bad. Acrylic is excellent for drawing, but as a replacement for polish - no way! In the pictures, which are from far you can’t see much, but if you see close there are huge bumps. It looks to me like a nail is mountain wreath. Yuck, yuck, yuck I take it off nails immediately. But stars are still nice.
